- What the Soko Glam Skin Experts Are Gifting Everyone On Their List This Year
We love the holidays here at Soko Glam. However, as some customers have mentioned (and as we know from personal experience), the holidays can be a stressful time. Trying to pick out presents for everyone on your list can be overwhelming, but have no fear! The Soko Glam Skin Experts are here to help. Read on to find out what we’ll be gifting those we love this year for some major gift-spiration.For your mom:The Dewy Skin Set is a great option for the most important woman in your life. This luxurious set comes with a variety of our customer-favorite anti-aging products, including the 2018 Best of K-Beauty winner, the Plant Base Time Stop Collagen Ampoule. For your most-followed friend on Instagram:You know that friend who will spend the holidays off being fabulous in Morocco or Portugal? This girl is so up on trends, the only gift she’ll need is the Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty Mini Set. The set is housed in a photo-worthy iridescent pouch, and it features an array of award-winning products. The best part? Everything in there is TSA-approved, so your friend can have a full routine on-the-go, no matter her exotic locale. For your sister:Nothing says the holidays like spending quality time with your family, and my favorite way to bond with my sisters is by doing skin care together. Snap up a couple of the Slumber Party Sets and Lip Care Sets, get a bumping playlist going, and have an old-fashioned sleepover with your closest girls. The Slumber Party Sets feature sheet masks, the Lovely Etti Hair Band (honestly, a foolproof gift), and my favorite sleeping pack. The Lip Care Sets have some incredible moisturizing products, like the Missha and SkinRX Lab lip balms, and Soko Glam co-founder Charlotte Cho’s holy grail, the Etude House Balm + Color Tint. Not only will you have so much fun goofing off and reconnecting, but you’ll also wake up with glowing skin! For your work friends:Snap up some sheet masks, write a cute note, and for a little something extra, add a bar of luxe-looking soap like the nourishing Klairs Rich Moist Facial Soap. This is such a simple, inexpensive gift that is always a hit. My favorite sheet masks include the Manefit Natural Gift Green Tea Pore Care Sheet Mask because of the hydrogel texture and the selfie-ready green tone, the Missha First Treatment Essence Mask because of its two-piece design and thick fabric, and the Klavuu White Pearlsation Pearl Serum Mask for its overall luxurious experience and rock star formula. For your best friend:Nothing says “you’re my girl” like a thoughtful, luxurious gift. I’m giving my people the Then I Met You Cleansing Duo because it’s formulated for all skin types, is a dream to use, and comes beautifully packaged. My roommate literally told me that she wants to give her co-worker an oil-based cleanser because she wants her to experience the life-changing magic of the double cleanse, and I want everyone to feel that generous during the holidays. This is a wonderful gift that you can give to someone special in your life. For the girl suffering through allergies:Winter skin allergies are real! If someone’s skin is extra sensitive during the holidays due to the rich foods, constant celebrations, cold weather, and dry air, I recommend giving them the Fragrance Free Set. I’m honestly in love with every product in this set, which is not something you can always say about kits. If you have a very sensitive friend, this is the gift for her (or him!).For your adventurous friend:Some may be skeptical about using a product that contains snail mucin, but this friend will be intrigued. The cult-favorite skin care brand Dewytree uses snail mucin as its star ingredient and offers something for everyone. Chances are, this same adventurous friend will be hitting the slopes or escaping to the beach, so they’ll benefit from having some of the ultra-hydrating and healing ingredient in their lineup. For your mother-in-law (or significant other’s mom):I’ve been hoarding the SMD Saromae Snail Secretion Cream because I’m obsessed with it. This cream, appropriate for almost every skin under the sun (I wouldn’t recommend if you’re post-procedure, but otherwise, you can use this with confidence), comes beautifully packaged, smells incredible, and will make your face seriously glow. When you need to make a good impression on someone, this is absolutely the way to go as it shows you have good taste, are thoughtful, and are generous.Bottom LineRegardless of the gifts you give, we at Soko Glam hope you have a wonderful holiday season! Don’t let the stress of shopping get to you, and instead focus on what the holidays are about: Being generous with the people you love, not only materially, but in time and spirit. We can’t wait to see how you spend your holidays!
- How to Tailor Your Summer Skin Care Routine Based on the Climate You Live In (Because It Makes a Difference!)
Do you live somewhere with dry heat or high humidity? Here’s how to tailor your summer skin care routine based on climate. Can you believe that summer is right around the corner? Seriously, where did the time go? Along with swapping out your cold weather wardrobe and planning vacations, switching up your skin care routine should be on your summer checklist. Curating the perfect summer skin care regimen is not just about replacing thick creams with lighter ones. You should also keep the climate you live in in mind, as this will inform what types of formulas and ingredients to look for. Below, we share their best summer skin tips for humid and dry climates, with a little help from experts. If you live in a humid or wet climate…It’s not just your hair that humidity can mess with! Shlomit Heller, a San Francisco-based licensed esthetician and founder of Shlomit Skin Ecology, tells us that when exposed to humidity, the skin will adapt to and protect itself from the environment by altering its function, which can lead to an overproduction of oil. “The heat experience during humid weather causes discomfort on the body as a whole and causes excess sweating as the body’s way of naturally cooling itself down,” she says. “In an effort to bring balance, the body, and skin in particular, may overproduce oils that create an environment that is optimal for excess bacteria production that could lead to acne and congested skin,” she explains. By now you’re well aware of the fact that no matter what season it is and where you live you should always be wearing sunscreen. However, in a hot and humid climate, you’ll want to focus on protection along with avoiding shine. Choose a lightweight, fast-absorbing sunscreen like the Thank You Farmer Sun Project Light Sun Essence that offers a semi-matte finish and broad spectrum protection.

- A Full 10-Step Korean Skin Care Routine to Treat and Prevent Signs of Aging
What K-beauty products should be in your arsenal if wrinkles and anti-aging are on your list of skin concerns? Read on below for our top picks.Lines, wrinkles, and the like may be inevitable, but you can slow down the process by stocking your skin care routine with the right products. Some of the youth-preserving ingredients we swear by are antioxidants, AHAs, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid. You’ll find them, and more effective ingredients, in the K-beauty products highlighted below.RELATED: What to Do When You Get Your First WrinkleWhether you’re looking to revamp your entire regimen or just introduce a new powerhouse product or two, read on below for a full routine’s worth of anti-aging options.Oil Cleanser: Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing BalmWhen skin ages, it can become sallow and less even in texture. This cleansing balm contains rice water and fermented grains that boost cell turnover, revealing brighter, smoother skin. The formula also contains chrysanthemum extract, a source of anti-aging vitamin A.Foam Cleanser: Klavuu Pure Pearlsation Revitalizing Facial Cleansing FoamGive your skin a “treat yourself” moment with this pearl extract-infused cleanser. Pearl extract offers multiple benefits that are helpful for those seeking a more youthful-looking complexion. It’s brightening, soothing, rich in free radical-fighting antioxidants, and can aid in stimulating collagen. Another star ingredient in the creamy formula is algae extract, which is also a source of antioxidants, as well as hydration.Exfoliator: Neogen Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling WineResveratrol is the antioxidant in red wine that gives the beverage its supposed heart-healthy benefits. It’s also an excellent skin care ingredient. In addition to protecting against free radical damage, it’s also a naturally-occurring AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that exfoliates skin. These gentle yet effective pads are drenched with the ingredient, along with pore-cleaning and exfoliating lactic acid.Toner: Neogen SUR.MEDIC+ Super Hyaluronic 100TM Aqua SkinAs skin ages, it cannot retain moisture as well as it used to, resulting in a loss of elasticity, wrinkles, and a less plump appearance. With its ability to retain over 1,000 times its weight in water, hyaluronic acid can help prevent these issues by keeping skin hydrated. This toner contains a combination of hyaluronic acid molecules for even better results, in addition to brightening camu camu, and firming ginseng root extract.Essence: The Plant Base Pore N Tightening EssenceK-beauty products are known to be gentle and sensitive skin-friendly, so you won’t often find an ingredient like retinol in them. This essence is an exception. The formula features a cocktail of anti-aging vitamins including vitamins A (retinol), C, and E, yet is not harsh or irritating. It also contains tannin extract and EVERMAT, a patented ingredient, to minimize the appearance of pores.Serum: CosRX Triple C Lightning LiquidThis serum is considered a holy grail product for a reason. It contains 20.5% pure vitamin C, which in addition to preventing signs of aging from forming, treats pigmentation and brightens. It should be a staple in any anti-aging regimen.Sheet Mask: Atrue Real Black Tea True Active MaskThe very first ingredient (i.e. the most concentrated) in this sheet mask is black tea ferment. Black tea is an antioxidant that can help protect skin from UV damage and environmental pollutants that cause signs of aging to form and thanks to its caffeine content, it can also tighten and tone skin.Consistent use will offer the best long-term results, however you can expect a brighter and more hydrated complexion after just one 20-minute sheet mask session.Eye Cream: Erborian Ginseng Infusion Total EyeIn your 20s, hydration is the name of the game when it comes to eye cream. Beyond that, it’s time to up the ante. This formula is hydrating, plus it contains ginseng extract, an ingredient that has been shown to firm and smooth the appearance of fine lines. It also boots circulation, a trait that helps de-puff and minimize dark circles around the eye area.Moisturizer: Dewytree Ultra Vitalizing Snail CreamWhen skin is dehydrated, fine lines and wrinkles are more apparent and it’s more prone to forming new lines. This is why moisturizer is a key component in any day or night skin care routine. This ultra-nourishing formula contains ingredients like trehalose and betaine that help skin retain moisture, in addition to snail mucin (a natural source of hyaluronic acid), and wrinkle-fighting adenosine.SPF: Tony Moly My Sunny Watery Essence SPF 50/PA+++Sunscreen is arguably the best defense against signs of aging, which is why we recommend wearing it every single day. This is the perfect everyday formula because it’s lightweight, fast-absorbing, and offers SPF 50 protection. Plus, it contains hyaluronic acid and aloe vera for bonus hydrating and soothing benefits.
- A Major Announcement: The Klog Skin Care is Here!
Inspired by The Klog community, we’ve developed a new skin care line with Soko Glam Labs™ that’s exclusively available on Soko Glam. Since 2013, we’ve been your educational skin care resource to help you achieve your skin goals through in-depth reviews, tutorials, and tips. With acne as one of your top concerns, we challenged ourselves to find the most effective and gentle solutions for all skin types and tones. This Klog Skin Care is focused on reliable, treatment-oriented, and effective skin care from a trusted and vetted source at everyday prices. Read on to hear from Charlotte on why The Klog Skin Care line is such an important milestone. It’s a thrilling day today for The Klog team! So exciting! But before I get into the details on why today is a big day for us, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic, so let’s backtrack a bit and walk down memory lane. When Soko Glam launched in 2012, we were a baby site with only a handful of products. In the process of curating, I realized that most of the conversations I had with our community were about their specific concerns and how to set up their customized skin care routine. So, we launched The Klog (short for Korean Beauty Log, and a nod to “clogged pores”) to assist with answering the skin-specific questions we were getting by posting articles a few times a week on Soko Glam. A few years later, we realized how helpful this information was to many of you, and we got requests to produce more and more content.
- Blonde Doesn't Have To Be Beachy
I think everyone should go blonde at least once. Whether or not blondes have more fun is a moot point compared to all the extra attention—an experience worth experiencing. But while going blonde the first time feels like stepping into a foreign land where the shampoo’s always purple and the drinks are always free, going blonde a second time is more like an icy cold rinse. You know the discomfort you’re getting yourself into (long, expensive salon sessions and frizz), but it’s worth it, for the extra shimmer. I knew I’d never go pure white platinum again, like I did my first time around. I actually didn’t think I’d ever go blonde again, until I saw Margot Robbie on the cover of August’s Vogue. Her hair color was… well, I wasn’t totally sure how to describe it. Bronde? Sandy? Golden? It was perfect. So while everyone around me started creeping deeper and redder for fall, I quietly nursed an obsession: on commutes I saved photos of Sharon Tate, Peggy Lipton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Uma Thurman. Early in the morning, before my alarm started buzzing, I screenshotted Olsens, Hailey Bieber, Magdalena Frackowiak, and Facebook photos of dirty blonde girls from my highschool. I zoomed in on Lily-Rose Depp. I paused on one surprisingly compelling shot of Dylan Sprouse. None of them were not the same shade of blonde, and none of them quite reflected Robbie’s hue either. But something about them was similar? I couldn’t quite place it, but had faith that a professional could. After I had amassed my dossier, I reached out to colorist Lucille Javier. I met Lucille when she worked at Sally Hershberger, an old-school editor watering bowl. After cutting her teeth there under notorious blonde-maker Aura Friedman, Lucille took her 15 years of experience to Mark Ryan Salon, a brand new Chelsea space with big, sunny windows and luxe teak accents. I showed up at my appointment with way too many images. (Showing one reference picture to your colorist = helpful, 20 pictures = muddling.) But Lucille was up for the challenge. The through line, it seemed, was that everyone I saved was just… a natural blonde. Their hair already grew out of their heads pretty light, and instead of being bright, beachy, and streaky, it was even and a little bit anemic. In other words, not what most people asked for from their colorist. Which isn’t to say it couldn’t be replicated. Lucille just took an extra second to think before mixing up a concoction.
- Our Round-Up Of The Four Best Recent Moisturizer Releases That You Should Pick Up ASAP
Dry skin? We don’t know her. Late fall and early winter is a dreamland for moisturizer lovers. Not only do we get to dip into our stash of “winter” creams and lotions, but emails and messages from brands announcing the launches of tempting dense creams and lightweight gels crowd our feeds and inboxes, tempting us to grow our collection of hydrating heroes. With each moisturizer promising ultimate hydration, and with new skin care brands launching monthly, it’s a bit harder than it used to be to decipher which launches are worth our coin. Below, we’re highlighting the four best recently launched moisturizers to make it easier for you to decide which one best fits your skin concerns.
- What Is an Emulsion Anyway?
What is an emulsion, and how is it different from a moisturizer? Here, we break down everything you need to know about emulsions, a hero product in the K-beauty routine.Emulsion is a word that seems to get thrown around a lot in the K-beauty world, but no one ever seems to be able to give a straight, consistent answer of what it is or why you should use it. I remember the first time I got a sample emulsion and I had no clue what to do with it, and to my shock, neither did the salesperson who gave it to me. However, emulsions are actually a staple in Korean skin care routines and offer a whole range of benefits. So I decided it was time to break down what an emulsion is, what it does, and how it can be used. What is an emulsion, and how is it different from a cream? In a nutshell: Emulsions are lighter versions of moisturizing creams. Unlike most heavy facial creams, emulsions are typically water-based, which means they go on lighter and thinner than creams. In some cases, emulsions come in gel or almost liquid forms. On the whole, emulsions absorb into the skin much more quickly and don’t sit on top of the skin the same way some creams do.In this photo, an emulsion is on the left and a moisturizer is on the right:So what do emulsions do?Emulsions offer many of the same benefits of a cream, just in a lighter formula. They’re formulated to act as a moisture lock that seals in all the hydration and benefits of your essence and serums. However, many people use emulsions as a continuance of their treatment products, not just as a moisturizer. When do you use it?Emulsions are the in-between product between serums and creams. It’s not quite as light as a serum, but not quite as heavy as a cream. Similarly, it isn’t as concentrated as serums, but more targeted than heavy creams. And so, that’s right where it goes in the skin care routine—after serum and (optionally) before your final moisturizer. But how you use an emulsion really comes down to your skin type. Emulsions for each skin type:For very oily skin, emulsions can be an great option as your final moisturizing step before applying SPF. The fact that emulsions are lighter, water-based, and more easily absorbed make them attractive to people with oily skin as a way to get the hydration your skin needs without the weight and sheen of a cream. And if you live in a place that gets hot and humid, an emulsion can be a great option to keep your skin cool and light in the heat, while still delivering the hydration it needs. However, you should make sure that the emulsion you’re using is specially targeted for hydration to be sure your skin doesn’t get the short hand on moisture. For combination and acne-prone skin, you can use an emulsion to target oil, blemishes, and excess sebum. This can be done by applying an emulsion to the whole face or to specific areas, like the T-zone. Look for an emulsion that contains natural BHAs that keep the skin clear of dead skin cells and excess sebum, with soothing ingredients like centella asiatica that deliver hydration and moisture without producing more oils.Normal skin types can still obtain benefits from emulsion even if they don’t have a skin concern they want to target. Use an emulsion that is lightweight enough not to burden or stifle your skin throughout the summer and provides hydration in the winter. For sensitive skin, emulsions are perfect to promote healthy, nourished skin without irritating it or penetrating deep enough to provoke inflammation and redness. The Etude House SoonJung 10 Free Moist Emulsion is ideal to balance the skin’s pH, brighten, and moisturize without irritating the skin. It’s perfectly lightweight and doesn’t feel too heavy. It goes beyond hydrating, and includes ingredients like madecassoside and panthenol, to soothe irritated and sensitive skin. And if you’re in my camp and struggle with dry skin, emulsions are seriously a life-saver. When you double up on emulsion and cream, the emulsion locks in the moisture from your prior steps and the cream can be focused on just soaking into the skin and hydrating it even further. For dry skin, the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Emulsion is perfect to adhere moisture and nutrients to skin and leave it feeling hydrated and elastic. The emulsion has small particles of super collagen water and baobab water which absorb quickly into skin; it’s lightweight yet moisturizing, and with a jelly-like consistency and smooth formula, you’ll feel your skin become hydrated and refreshed immediately. For even more moisture, you can also mix a facial oil into your emulsion since emulsions are water based and mixing in an oil means your skin gets both water and an oil-based moisture. Bottom Line
- Skin Scopes: The Signs as the 2019 Best of K-Beauty™ Winners
If the zodiac signs were this year’s Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty™ Award winners, which would they be? Indulge us as we explain.Whether it be animals, our favorite celebrities, or even types of weather, you really can interpret astrology in any which way your heart so desires. So why wouldn’t we take two of our biggest passions: astrology and skin care (of course!) and try to combine them? Well, we did exactly that, but with Soko Glam’s 2019 Soko Glam Best of K-Beauty™ Awards Winners. Keep reading to see why we think our favorite pimple patch is definitely a Cancer, and why Scorpios remind us of a certain popular toner. Aries (March 21—April 20) and Gemini (May 21—June 21): Solved Skincare Coconut Oil Cleansing Pads Aries and Gemini don’t have a lot in common with each other, but they both have something in common with these coconut oil cleansing pads. Aries suns, as the ram of the zodiac, aren’t afraid to take life head-on. They can be seen as somewhat aggressive and incredibly assertive, but because of that, they definitely get things done. Similarly, the Solved Skincare Coconut Oil Cleansing Pads can take on any challenge – even your most waterproof makeup. These cleansing pads use 100% virgin coconut oil to cleanse and effectively remove SPF, makeup, and any impurities, leaving your skin refreshed and hydrated. A cool thing about these in particular is that they’re double-sided – one larger side to remove makeup on your face, and a smaller side specifically for removing eye and lip makeup. This, of course, reminds us of Geminis, AKA “the twins.” Geminis are often stereotyped as two-faced, but that’s only because of their natural duality and their ability to adapt to any given situation easily. They’re also very inventive just like these double-sided pads – each one even has a small pocket for your fingers so you don’t have to touch your face. Taurus (April 20—May 21): Hanskin Pore Cleansing Oil [PHA] As an earth sign, Taureans know how to keep their cool. They’re the sign that appears calm and collected, no matter the situation, and are considered to be the most grounded and down-to-earth. But even though they may seem laid-back, a Taurus’s perseverance is unmatched by any other sign. You might think that they’re not up to anything, but a Taurus is always working quietly behind the scenes to reach their success. That quality is why they remind us of Hanskin’s Pore Cleansing Oil [PHA]. This cleansing oil is gentle and feels soothing to the skin. What you don’t feel, though, is the number of ingredients in its formula that are helping to better your complexion, including tea tree oil to fight acne, PHAs to lightly exfoliate, and jojoba oil to hydrate skin. It might seem like just a simple product to remove your makeup, but it’s secretly making your skin much smoother and clear.Cancer (June 21—July 22): COSRX Acne Pimple Master PatchCancer is represented by the crab, which is probably the most accurate way to describe how natives of this water sign go through life. They are known to keep a shell around themselves in order to protect the emotions that they hold very closely. This shell keeps them from getting hurt (as they can very easily), and shields them from the harsh outside world. Despite all this, they are still caring on the inside, making them of the most nurturing signs of the zodiac. This soothing but protective juxtaposition is not only prominent in Cancers, but it is also seen in one of our skin care favorites – COSRX’s Acne Pimple Master Patches. These hydrocolloid patches are able to heal whiteheads and blackheads, all while clinging to skin to avoid interference with any outside elements like water or bacteria. Unlike many traditional spot treatments that can leave dark marks, these patches treat and sterilize infection without drying out the skin. So while they clear skin and absorb sebum on the inside, they’ll keep the blemish clean and protected from the outside. Leo (July 22—August 22): Neogen Real Vita C Powder LemonA Leo is definitely one of the signs that you can spot from a mile away. Not only are they known for being the center of attention, but as the lion of the zodiac, they also have a somewhat regal and alluring presence. Leos are leaders, not followers, and they attack every task with determination. Our favorite product that channels Leo energy is Neogen’s Real Vita C Powder Lemon. As a powder, this product can last much longer than other traditional forms of Vitamin C that can oxidize quickly and become ineffective. Containing a 17% concentration of pure ascorbic acid, as well as trehalose to hydrate and lemon extract to revitalize skin, this powder can help your skin glow (just like a Leo would). Just mix with your essence or toner of choice and then apply to skin. Virgo (August 22—September 22) and Capricorn (December 21—January 20): Elensilia CPP Collagen 80% Intensive Eye Cream Virgos and Capricorns are similar for many reasons. Not only are they both earth signs, but they’re also both known for how hardworking they can be. These signs always have a goal in mind, and they’ll do whatever it takes to get it – whether that means juggling multiple roles or putting in overtime. You might say that Virgos and Capricorns are kind of like a really great eye cream, or more specifically, the Elensilia CPP Collagen 80% Intensive Eye Cream. This eye cream is the definition of a multitasker – addressing puffiness, dark circles, and wrinkles to keep your undereyes smooth and hydrated. The formula includes two peptides known for their anti-aging properties, SYN-COLL™ and Haloxyl™, to increase collagen production and to brighten. Libra (September 22—October 22): Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence MistLibras are naturally intellectual and friendly, which makes them one of the most likable signs. Not only they are outgoing, but they’re also advocates for harmony and justice, whether that be in their own lives or others. Because of this, the symbol for Libra is a scale – representing how natives of this sign constantly seek balance. It is common that they try to find some sort of middle ground in any of their experiences – a concept that we personally think should be extended over to any skin care routine. Having a Libra in your life is just like using Acwell’s Licorice pH Balancing Essence Mist: while your Libra friend can help you balance, say, your love life or your finances, this mist will handle balancing the pH levels of your skin. Not only does it include algae extract and bamboo water to hydrate, but it also contains saccharomyces ferment filtrate and licorice water (AKA brightening superheroes) to make your skin glow. Scorpio (October 22—November 21): Benton Aloe BHA Skin TonerTwo of a Scorpio’s trademark qualities are their intensity and willpower. It’s not easy to intimidate a Scorpio sun – they stay determined and they’re more than able to confront anyone or anything. However, because they’re a water sign, they’re also deeply emotional and fiercely loyal. If a Scorpio were one of our K-beauty favorites, it would definitely be the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. This product confronts blemishes head-on by exfoliating pores with salicylic acid, but because the formula also contains soothing aloe and reparative snail mucin, it’s not as harsh as it may seem. Sagittarius (November 21—December 21): Mamonde Petal Spa Oil To Foam CleanserIf you know anything about Sagittarius suns, you know that they’re easy going but love to have fun. Instead of sticking to a specific routine or way of life, they go with the flow to see what adventures life has in the cards for them. Something else that loves to defy routine? The Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser. The double cleanse is obviously a staple in the Korean 10-step routine, but some days, one more step can feel like one too many. Instead, this cleanser consolidates both steps by starting out as an oil formula and then transforming into a foam cleanser once water is added. With the use of soapberry extract and moisturizing damask rose oil, the cleanser can dissolve makeup and sunscreen while still removing dirt and sweat, efficiently cleansing without stripping your skin. Just like a Sagittarius, this cleanser will make your life much easier. Aquarius (January 20—February 19): Mediheal N.M.F Intensive Hydrating Sheet MaskAquarians have some of the typical marks of an air sign. They’re charming but eccentric, and they stray from the status quo to follow their own path. If you know an Aquarius, you probably admire them for their individuality and outspokenness. Despite these trademark qualities, Aquarius is often mistaken for a water sign – even though they exhibit almost opposite characteristics – for obvious reasons. Not only does their name fuel that misconception, but Aquarius’s symbol is also the “Water Bearer,” which is meant to represent how the sign likes to start anew by washing away the problems of the past.If you’re looking to take on this Aquarian mindset, we recommend bringing one (or a couple) of Mediheal’s N.M.F. Intensive Hydrating Sheet Masks along on your way to a fresh start. Just like the sign, this mask appears watery on the outside – but it also utilizes other powerful ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and amino acids to deeply hydrate and transform dry, flaky skin. It contains the same components of Natural Moisturizing Factor (N.M.F.), which is naturally found in the skin so that it stays healthy and hydrated. The mask also exfoliates dead skin and tones with the help of willow bark and witch hazel, giving your skin a clean slate (in true Aquarius fashion, of course). Pisces (February 19—March 21): Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

What customers say: “This stuff is so luxurious! It goes on so smoothly. It leaves my face feeling refreshed, moist, and supple. I have extremely dry skin.

The powder, designed to be mixed in with your toner or essence, is not susceptible to oxidation and can be used on all skin types, including sensitive. ” Read the full review here. What customers say: “I haven’t bought vitamin C products thinking the oxidation would waste my money. This is a genius solution! I swear it made a difference from the first time I used it – my skin looked brighter and dare I say, glowing. I LOVE THIS!” – Suzie RCOSRX Acne Pimple Master PatchWhat we said: “If I had a whitehead, the acne patch would immediately vacuum the gunk and soothe any irritation or pain, while also healing up the zit. I would often treat my skin while I was out and about — even at work — and NO one would notice. It was amazing. Best part is, I soon came to learn that they heal more than just zits.” Read the full review here. What customers say: “I’ve purchased these 15+ times already! They’re the only things I use when a blemish pops up. They minimize redness and pull out all of the nasty gunk in a whitehead along with making the blemish disappear overnight! It’s like magic!” – Tori NSolved Skincare Coconut Oil Cleansing PadsWhat we said: “If you’ve struggled to find a makeup remover that can tackle waterproof mascara, liquid matte lipstick, and other hard-to-remove formulas, the Solved Skincare Coconut Oil Cleansing Pads are about to be your BFF. I loved that they removed all traces of my 16-product look and that I didn’t have scrub and tug at my face to do so. ” Read the full review here. What customers say: “They’re great for lazy days when you don’t want to get all messy using regular cleansing oil and these are perfect for travel. I only ever use 1 pad to get off a full face of makeup so these will go a long way. ” – Molara OAcwell Licorice pH Balancing Essence MistWhat we said: “In addition to the group of ingredients that do more than just offer a quick burst of refreshment, the texture is downright dreamy. The formula is milky, making the mist fine and even, in comparison to some mists that feel like they’re spattering you in the face as you apply.” Read the full review here. What customers say: “This stuff is so luxurious! It goes on so smoothly. It leaves my face feeling refreshed, moist, and supple. I have extremely dry skin. And this mist from Acewell is PERFECT for it! I don’t know how I ever made it this far without it.” – Samantha WMediheal N.M.F Intensive Hydrating Sheet MaskWhat we said:“My skin felt so supple and hydrated after using this mask that I didn’t even apply my usual serum or nighttime moisturizer afterwards and my skin still felt soft in the morning. I definitely plan on stocking up on this one for the winter.” Read the full review here. What customers say: “It’s my go to for when my skin is feeling super dry and is super flaky. One of these and the next day my skin is softer and more hydrated than ever!!!” – MattieElensilia CPP Collagen 80% Intensive Eye CreamWhat we said: “The eye area looks smooth as soon as I apply this eye cream and my concealer does not cake up when applied on top. Also the eye cream helps dark circles to look brighter.” Read the full review here. What customers say: “I’m always looking for that holy grail of eye cream, and I think CPP Collagen 80% Intensive Eye Cream is the closest I’ve found. You only need a little, and it absorbs quickly and completely — no issues with concealer. It helps to keep my under eyes looking more hydrated.” – Bonnie GBenton Aloe BHA Skin TonerWhat we said:“With salicylic acid, aloe, and snail mucin, this toner targets a host of skin concerns including breakouts, sensitivity, and dehydration.” Read more here. What customers say: “I’ve battled with acne basically all my life so I was hesitant using new products on my skin. I have only been using [the product] for a month, and I’ve noticed how even my skin is now.” – Nou XMamonde Petal Spa Oil To Foam CleanserWhat we said: “Their Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser has become a holy grail for me and earned a permanent spot behind my bathroom mirror. It starts as a silky oil that takes off all your makeup and SPF and then emulsifies to a milk that washes off without any leftover residue.” Read the full review here. What customers say: “I have extremely sensitive skin. Rosacea, dry, some acne… so when I find a product that feels good on my skin and doesn’t cause a bad reaction it’s a miracle. It smells great too which is such a plus.” – Nicole KKlairs Midnight Blue Calming CreamWhat we said: “The first night I tried it I applied a thin layer and my skin instantly felt calmer and like I had just splashed my face with a major boost of moisture. The next morning I woke up to smoother, more supple and calm skin — no red cheeks here!” Read the full review here.
